Grape variety:    40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Cultivation  method:    Mostly Guyot.

Vintage:    The spring took an early and good start, which has been degraded after a while. The early summer was without rain, slightly cooler, but by the middle of the year the summer has became extremely warm, which lasted until the end of the harvest. We have finished with nice and sunny warm autumn.

Harvest:    The end of October, the beginning of November 2012.

Vinification + maturation:   The varieties are harvested, fermented and matured separately. Maturation is mostly (70%) in used oak barrels with 2-3 fillings while the remaining 30% in new barrels, including 225 and 500 liter barrels made mainly of Hungarian wood. The cuvée was put together after 30 months of rest with the following proportions: Cabernet Franc and Merlot 40-40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%.

Bottled:    Bottled in December 2017. 9.000 bottles

Tasting notes:    The glass is greeted by clean, flattering scents. The play of forest fruits and tobacco, the right proportion of barrel spices gives the impression of an already mature wine. Earthy notes and restrained fruit scents guide the wine. Over time, coffee also arrives due to roasting. The matured aroma, the serious body, makes it even more complex. It is already flattering, but it still has a great future ahead of it, as it has elegance and potential.

Food pairing:  Perfect choice with game food and red meat dishes. Has the room by the side of sauces, gravy made of forest fruits and mushroom.
